On behalf of the Ohio Daylily Society, welcome to our Ohio Daylily Spectacular at the 2010 Region 2 Summer Meeting. Join us for an invigorating weekend of fine dining and entertainment at the Galaxy Banquet Center, a 2 day bus tour of eight terrific gardens, and a boutique full of bargain and premium daylilies and garden décor. Lodging at group rates is available at the Holiday Inn Express or the Ramada Limited. Both hotels share the same parking lot with the Galaxy.

As you make your travel plans, consider spending a couple of extra days visiting a few of our local attractions and open gardens. A listing of our favorites is on our website at www.ohiodaylilysociety.org . Our website also includes complete registration information, tour garden and open garden descriptions, as well as a listing of daylilies that will be available at the plant sale. We suggest you visit our website periodically, as updates and new information will be added from time to time.

We highly recommend you make your reservations early. The banquet center has a maximum seating of 250. Additionally, after June 15th the group rates we have negotiated at the hotels expire.

Please send your donation(s), donation information, and photos (or digital image) to arrive at Gisela's address to arrive between July 1 and 5, 2010, or bring them to the summer meeting location (Galaxy Restaurant in Wadsworth, Ohio) by noon on Friday, July 16, 2010.
If the plant is not available for delivery, please send the information about the cultivar, when it will be available, and how it will get to the successful bidder. Please include information about availability of a digital image. We need the image for the slide show during the auction.

Send up to 5 digital pictures of 2010 introductions or seedlings of interest for a hybridizers’ slide show during Friday night’s social hour. Please provide descriptions and digital pictures to Amber as soon as possible but no later than June 15th. Also remember that pictures of seedlings entered for the Englerth Award cannot be included.

Please contact Dave if you are planning to bring a bus. We will help you plan your trip, setting up open garden visits on your way to and from the region meeting as desired. We will also reimburse you for the use of your bus for the garden tours on Saturday and Sunday.

Contact Kathy to reserve 8x10 spaces in the boutique (cost is $25/space plus an item donated to the raffle). Also indicate if any tables are needed and what type of products you plan to sell.

$140/adult, $70/youth—before June 15, 2010
$160/adult, $80/youth—after June 15, 2010
$10/person—Sunday Afternoon Open Garden Bus

Friday – buffet dinner and live plant auction
Saturday – bus tour, lunch, dinner, and guest speaker Dan Bachman
Sunday – bus tour until noon; (add optional afternoon open garden bus tour for $10)
Registration does not include hotel (see enclosed information)
